May vacation and Ascension day
During the May vacation the classes will continue as usual but...
op the followings days there will ne no lessons for the following classes:
- 28 April 2012 Zumba and Kids classes
- 30 April 2012, Queensday, all classes
- 2 May 2012, Kids classes
- 17 May 2012, ascension day, all classes
Whitsun - 27 and 28 May 2012
On Whitsun Sunday (27 May) there will be no Salsa, Salsa Ladystyling and Zouk classes. The lessons will shift 1 week.
On Whitsun Monday (28 May) the lessons will be given as usual.
New classes from September 2012
Students who currently attend classes, can all officially sign up during the lessons through the signature lists. Everyone who signs up now has priority over those who sign up later. Moreover, you can ensure that the new schedule is what you want. The more students of the same class decide to continue, the more likely that your group continues on the same day and time. So do not wait too long. The classes will start from medio September 2012. If you are new, please sign up on this website. Registration is still possible for several classes !!!
Call for ladies and gents without partner
For various classes it is still possible to register with and without a dance
partner. At several classes there is sufficient place for single ladies and gentlemen. Registration is possible with the registration form on this website.
In consultation, it will be possible to assist in classes where there is
a shortage of ladies or gents. Assisting with the lessons is possible
when you have done a course at least one time and are fully familiar with
the contents. Assisting is only possible when you are a course member or
ex course member of Dos Bailadores.
Below you will find a selection of classes where ladies and gents are
needed as course member or as assistant:
Gentlemen
Sunday: Zouk 1/2 fast
Monday: Bachata advanced
Tuesday: SalsaPlus
Wednesday: Salsa 2, Salsa 3, Salsa 6
Friday: Salsa 4, Zouk Advanced, Salsa 1, Zouk Club !!!
Ladies
Monday: Bachata 1
Wednesday: Salsa 7

When you are alone, interested in one or more of the courses mentioned

2012 amniversary year Dos Bailadores
In November Dos Bailadores exists 20 years! 2012 will be a year with many nice activities. Through the website and newsletter we will keep you informed of all the festivities.
Serious Request activities
On Thursday 22 December 22, 'De Waag' in Leiden was turned into a Salsa dance palace for 12 hours. Workshops, dance demonstrations and DJ's alternated. The Leiden dance school Dos Bailadores offered specifically for catering businesses, shopkeepers and their staff a workshop on Salsa dancing. All gainings have been donated by Dos Bailadores to Serious Request/The Glass House.
Peter Struch in the media
Last Friday 4 november 2011 television recordings were made from Peter Struch at the dance school. The television program 'KoffieMAX' pays attention to elderly people that are still very active in their item 'Hoezo oud?!'. The item has been broadcasted on 14 November 2011. World record Salsa dancing broken
During the Summer Carnival in Rotterdam on Saturday 30 July 2011 an attempt was done to break the world record Salsa dancing. This record had been granted to Venezuela with 451 couples. On the Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam 572 dance couples succesfully strived for the title. Partly due to the participation of many enthusiastic dancers of Dos Bailadores the world record Salsa dancing is now in the hands of The Netherlands!
